We are delighted to be able to offer a limited number of sets and individual proof sovereigns for pre-order. The new 2022 sovereigns are the first to carry the portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

The special reverse design features an elaborate portrayal of the Royal Coat of Arms in honour of the remarkable reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The design is by Jody Clark who's former portrait of the late Queen featured on UK coinage 2015-2022.

The Sovereign of King Charles III carries the obverse legend : 'CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF' in Latin this translates to “King Charles III, reigning by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith,”

This is the first year since 2015 to see 2 different issues of the proof in a same year.
